On the day she was found, Anna's father had travelled to the UK to help and get her home. A woman who died days after she was found unconscious in the toilets of Stansted Airport falsely believed she was in trouble with the police, an inquest has heard. Anna Rylukowska, 37, was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, after being found unconscious at the airport on Monday, May 4 this year. Anna had travelled to Stansted that day to book a flight to her native Poland but was unable to do so because of the Covid restrictions in place at the time.
At an inquest held on Thursday morning June 25Essex area coroner Lincoln Brookes ruled that Anna had intentionally ended her own life. After she began suffering with her mental health in April, her family suggested she go back to Poland to be with them during the coronavirus pandemic. In the bag she had been carrying was a notebook containing several notes about how low she had recently been feeling.
